Overlord has a cult like following ever since its ln days. Probably because how thorough the ln is in setting up the world and the characters. I love it too. It isn't that great objectively but I like it. Something about it makes me wanna keep watching it even with the ass quality cgi

OH THANK YOU. I literally was about to rant on them having skipped volume 12-13 the holy kingdom invasion arc. For me that arc was the best out of all 14 volumes that I've read. It's so good.

Is that the arc where Ainz faked his death? I haven't seen that addressed in this season yet, and I really dislike that plot point. Truth be told, I couldn't wait for more episodes back in Season 3 so I read that volume of the novel which ended with the Katze plains battle. But the next volume immediately started with news of Ainz' death and I dropped it immediately.

Pretty sure that that didnt happend in that volume, iirc the fake death news were at the end of volume 11. Also, I think Maruyama did a really good work with the fake death (in terms of using the abscense of the main character), while the reader knows is false, the story and certain girl gets really important in the Holy Kingdom Arc bacouse of that.

What was skipped from the novel was Philipp stealing the cargo with his poor peasants. the situation becomes maximum cringe and you realize how easy it could be avoided if some other characters had a drop of brain. It would be pure comedy, too bad they have skipped it
